ACS Sharjah will be the premier American Curriculum school in Sharjah. A school with the largest campus in the Middle East. A school with 100 years of history from its founding school, American Community School at Beirut.
ACS Sharjah will be situated on a prime 1.4 million square ft piece of land located on Maliha Road, Sharjah, U.A.E, near the Sharjah University complex - only 10 minutes from Dubai. ACS Sharjah will begin its first phase in September, 2010.
Our state-of-the-art environmentally aware "green" campus drives the conceptual planning for ACS Sharjah. Rather than having the buildings shape (and constrict) the curriculum, ACS Sharjah seeks to have a flexible, interactive curriculum shape its buildings and campus. The large land space will allow for larger facilities and more space for the children, allowing for a smoother delivery of the curriculum.

ACS Sharjah will offer the American Curriculum from it's opening in September, 2010 and intends to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Complementing this will be our POLARIS Program for Gifted, ESL and Special Needs children. This program has been set up in response to the increasing demand for gifted and special needs assistance throughout the UAE. Students will be provided with the resources to nurture their gifts and augment their talents. At ACS Sharjah, we believe in raising the bridge, rather than lowering the river.
ACS Sharjah is the only school in the UAE which fully addresses the needs of differentiated learners, allowing for students, who otherwise might not achieve our standards or students who have been held back by those same standards. Many schools offer mild support programs but no other school in the UAE offers a fully supported gifted children's and special needs program.

ACS Sharjah is seeking accreditation from The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.

ACS Sharjah offers optional after-school activities as part of the schools' day program. Sharjah is the perfect location for our school offering families from Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman an American education and many firsts to the area while embracing the gifts the region has to offer. We are located between Emirates Road and the Dubai Bypass near University City giving students a shorter travel time than are currently used to experiencing. Children who come to school fresh and energized are bound to do better in school from the start.

We bring many firsts to the region that will benefit all students. We are introducing the High Scope early childhood program to the UAE. Though this program is new here it has over 40 years of success and development in the states. High Scope is focused on developing the key skills a child will use through their life as well as creating a mind frame for becoming an eager lifelong learner.

ACS of Sharjah also brings the POLARIS program to the area. This one of a kind program provides students who are gifted, needing additional ESL support or have mild special needs the chance to succeed in school. The tools used to help these students are also effective teaching tools that not only benefit the students who need them but all students as well. We also extend our corporate rate to any family or friends that enrol five students regardless of corporate support or association. Besides our government and corporate rates we also offer discounts for single payment and multiple students from the same family. We take the word COMMUNITY in our title seriously and work strongly to create a place students and family take pride.

In the year I have been here I have continued to miss the fact we did not move here sooner in my career. The first benefit is the people from the National people to the expats there is a safety, intelligence, expectation and tolerance that the world is only starting to realize.

Another exciting aspect of this area is the effort of keeping the heritage of yesterday with an eye on building the biggest tomorrow the world has ever seen to create a today that is filled with foundation of the past and the opportunity of the future. The museums, amusements, shopping, natural sites and things no one else ever dreamed of makes this the place to come and stay. Finally, we are located next to everything so if you find some reason to leave for a week what ever you seek is at your door step.
